Getting started with Conota

Conota is a camera app for work documentation. It can place useful information such as time, location, project details and notes with the photo, so the record is easier to understand later.

What to do first

• Install Conota from Google Play or the App Store.
• Open the app and allow camera access. Allow location access if you want coordinates, address or location information with your photos.
• Review the information shown on the photo and choose what you want to include. The exact options differ between Android and iOS.
• Create a simple project name or job reference before taking a group of work photos. This makes later sorting easier.
• Take a test photo and confirm that the saved image contains the information you expect.

A useful first setup

Keep the visible information short enough to read on a phone screen. A project name, date/time and location are usually a good starting point. Add notes when a photo needs extra explanation.

If you work on several sites, use a repeatable naming format for projects or jobs. Consistent names make exported files and folders easier to scan later.

Android and iOS
