KNOWLEDGE BASE / GETTING STARTED

Create your first photo record

A useful field photo should still make sense when someone opens it days or months later. Conota helps you capture that context while you are already on site.

Before taking the photo

  • Set the project or job name if you use one.
  • Check the information that will appear with the photo, such as date/time, coordinates, address, direction or notes.
  • Make sure the GPS location has had enough time to update if location is important for the record.

Take and check the photo

  • Frame the work clearly and take the photo.
  • Add a note or other context when needed.
  • Open the saved image and check that the information is readable and correct before moving on.

A simple field habit

Use the same project naming and documentation pattern across a job. Small habits at capture time reduce manual sorting and explanation later.

Tip: test any new setup with one photo before using it across a live project.
